An Australian company by the name of MMJ PhytoTech Limited has begun selling CBD capsules in European markets. While the company is based down under, the cannabis capsules are strictly sold via a Swiss-based subsidiary, Satipharm, and registered as a dietary supplement.

According to a company statement:

The 100% Swiss-made, GMP-produced capsules are set to be a game-changer in the EU CBD market. Competing CBD products tend to be sold as crude liquid extracts and oils derived from field-grown, non-quality controlled industrial hemp, and often have issues with consistency, dosage and quality. Despite the capsules’ superior quality, the company has priced them in line with competing CBD products to support maximum market penetration.

The capsules are priced at 89 Euros for 30, 10 mg capsules, and 579 Euros for 30, 100 mg capsules. They are available for both retail and wholesale purchase. MMJ PhytoTech Limited intends to produce 1 million of the capsules in 2015.

The company’s “Farm to Pharma” approach has guaranteed that the contents of the capsules are traceable from the seedling stage to the final pill product. They report that the pills are free from all herbicides and pesticides.

While cannabis remains illegal in across the majority of the globe, the medicinal benefits of the plant are becoming increasingly undeniable–especially with respect to the cancer-killing and seizure-stopping reports that continue to make headlines.
